MEDIA RELEASE
REMONDIS Australia is now seeking seven recent university graduates for its two-year, salaried Graduate Program.
“We’re on the lookout for problem solvers and future leaders”, says Jochen Behr, CEO of REMONDIS Australia. “We’re looking forward to welcoming a new cohort of keen, enquiring minds into the business and nurturing their growth”.
This year REMONDIS Australia is recruiting seven recent university graduates, across six specialties:
The two year, salaried Graduate Program comprises four six-month rotations within a speciality area aligned with the graduate’s interests and skill, as part of a ‘learning by doing’ approach.
Graduates are embedded within the business from day one, so learning and growth arise from being in a real-life setting, with great mentors and a clear mission.
Paige Milligan, who gained a Bachelor of Business Administration from Macquarie University in 2020, entered the Graduate Program in 2020 – undertaking rotations in operations, customer service, mergers & acquisitions and on-site at a cutting-edge resource recovery facility – and has now accepted a permanent, full-time role as Project Manager within REMONDIS’s NSW operations.
“My rotations have all been very diverse, providing the opportunity to get hands-on experiences while learning about day-to-day operational processes and equipment.
“The highlight experience of the Graduate Program for me has been the opportunity to work directly with the NSW/ACT General Manager, Susie McBurney. Being involved in projects and meetings with Susie has taught me so much about the industry and helped me to develop my skills,” said Paige.
Asked to describe the Graduate Program in three words, Paige said: “Engaging, diverse and enlightening.”
REMONDIS Australia is the local operation of one of the world’s biggest recycling, service and water companies. With over 1,100 employees and 39 business locations in Australia, REMONDIS serves more than 24,000 commercial, industrial and municipal customers and their communities. REMONDIS is a respected global brand that has been in Australia since 1982 – that’s 40 years and counting.
Here in Australia, REMONDIS has major projects underway in organics, processing, resource recovery infrastructure and energy from waste, plus ambitious targets to improve operational performance and customer experience. The company is now looking for recent graduates with the curiosity, drive and resilience required to supercharge its ambitions.
The company is keen to hear from graduates with qualifications in Business & Management, Engineering & Mathematics, Humanities, Arts & Social Sciences and Sciences.
Applicants must have completed their tertiary studies in the 18 months prior to 30 June 2023 with a weighted average score of 70%, and must have the right to work in Australia. Applications close 31 March, with the seven roles commencing 3 July 2023.
