APPOINTMENTS
Nathan Radley has been appointed to the newly-created role of Chief Sales Officer and joined the Board of Directors of REMONDIS Australia, effective 1 May 2024.
With extensive experience in the waste management sector, Mr Radley joined Theiss Services in 2003, which was acquired by REMONDIS in 2012. He served as National Operations Manager before being appointed General Manager of the company’s Integrated and Managed Services business unit (REMONDIS IMS), where he delivered innovative waste management and recycling solutions for complex, national clients.
Qualified as an Environmental Engineer and with over 20 years’ experience in the recycling sector, Mr Radley understands the technical, commercial and service delivery expectations of our customers, and is committed to ensuring our team can help these organisations navigate the rapidly evolving opportunities to recycle their waste.
“Nathan’s broad industry experience, focus on exceeding customer expectations, and specialisation in delivering digital projects, equip him to guide REMONDIS Australia’s growth initiatives,” Chief Executive Officer, Björn Becker said.
“His appointment will enhance our strategic planning capabilities and add a valuable perspective to our Board of Directors.”
The REMONDIS Australia Board of Directors now comprises CEO Björn Becker as Chair, and CFO Raphael Landgraf, COO Alex Hatherly and CSO Nathan Radley.
Concurrently, Andrew Crichton has been appointed to the role of General Manager of REMONDIS Integrated and Managed Services (REMONDIS IMS).
Mr Crichton has worked across all facets of REMONDIS IMS over the last 15 years, most recently managing the division’s remote operations in Far North Queensland.

REMONDIS is one of the world’s leading privately run recycling, service and water companies with around 1,000 business locations in over 30 countries and across three continents. Founded in 1934, this family-run business employs more than 40,000 people and generates a turnover of €12.6 billion (2022). Each year, it processes about 30 million tons of recyclable materials and provides services for local authorities, small and medium-sized businesses and industrial firms as well as for around 30 million people. Operating in many different fields of business, REMONDIS makes an important contribution towards protecting the environment and conserving natural resources – from recovering valuable raw materials from industrial and household waste, to producing high quality recycled raw materials, all the way through to transforming non-recyclable materials into a range of different fuels. Moreover, the company is increasingly helping to advance the switch from fossil fuels to renewables by using biomass as a source of energy. REMONDIS sees itself as an adviser and point of contact for industrial, commercial and retail businesses as well as for local authorities as it helps them to find regional and bespoke solutions. REMONDIS is part of the RETHMANN Group, which includes SARIA, Rhenus and Transdev and operates in over 60 countries. REMONDIS Australia commenced operations in 1982 and now has 1,000+ employees servicing more than 24,000 customers nationally.
